Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Tornia (tornia.eu), a competition management platform operated by De Clercq, Jorg, Albrecht Rodenbachstraat 47 A, 9040 Gent, België, enterprise number BE 1037.710.057 ("we", "us"). By creating an account you accept these terms.
1. The service
Tornia lets competition managers set up competitions, invite teams, generate schedules, record scores, and publish standings and player statistics. Team admins manage rosters and lineups; team members and, where enabled, referees get access to the parts relevant to them. Participants are never charged — only managers pay for a subscription.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Taking a paid subscription requires that you are of legal age or act on behalf of a legal entity (for example your club).
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
3. Trial and subscription
- New managers get a 14-day free trial; no payment details needed.
- After the trial, running competitions requires a subscription: €5/month or €50/year, which covers your first active competition, plus €2.50/month or €25/year per additional active competition. A competition counts as active while it has a season in registration or in progress.
- VAT is not applicable — special exemption scheme for small enterprises (art. 56bis of the Belgian VAT Code).
- Payment runs through Mollie (Bancontact or credit card). The amount is recalculated at each renewal based on your number of active competitions at that moment.
- We may change prices for existing subscribers with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal; if you disagree, you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
4. Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds
- You can cancel anytime in the billing settings. Access continues to the end of the period you paid for; no further renewals are charged.
- If you subscribe as a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting the subscription you agree that the service begins immediately. If you withdraw within those 14 days, email support@tornia.eu and we will refund the amount paid, less a proportional part for the days already elapsed.
5. Your content and participant data
- The competition data you enter (teams, rosters, scores, logos) remains yours. You grant us the right to host, process, and display it as needed to provide the service.
- If you enter personal data about other people — players, referees, invitees — you confirm that you are entitled to do so and that you have informed them, as described in our privacy policy. For minors, that includes their parents or guardians.
- If you make a tournament public, its schedule, standings and player names become visible to anyone with the link. Making it private again removes the public page.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Tornia to break the law, infringe on others' rights, upload offensive content, disrupt the service, or attempt to access data that isn't yours. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" — occasional maintenance or downtime is possible. We may improve or change features over time; we won't remove core functionality of a paid plan mid-subscription without notice.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost data entered by third parties or missed matches. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Termination
You can delete your account in Settings → Security once you've transferred or removed the competitions and teams you manage. We may terminate or suspend accounts for breach of these terms, and will give reasonable notice unless the breach is serious. After termination, section 6 of the privacy policy describes what happens to data.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or in the app at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after that date counts as acceptance.
11. Governing law and disputes
Belgian law applies. Disputes go to the competent courts of the district of our registered office, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that let you sue or be sued where you live. Consumers in Belgium can also contact the Consumer Mediation Service (consumerombudsman.be).
