Basketball league and tournament software
High scores make point difference decisive. Track it without a spreadsheet, keep the hall schedule straight, and assign a referee to every game.
Basketball tables are about margins
A 78–74 and a 78–52 are both one win, but over a season the second one matters. With scores this high, point difference stops being a tiebreaker and becomes the column that separates the middle of the table. Draws barely exist, so a basketball table is a win–loss ladder with point difference underneath it, not the three-way points system a football league runs on.
Tornia handles that without special settings. Record the final score, and on approval the table sorts on competition points, then point difference, then points scored. Points per win and per loss are yours to set, so a plain two-for-a-win, one-for-a-loss ladder works.
Where the time goes: the hall
A recreational league or a company competition does not have a hall; it has Tuesday from 20:00 to 22:00 and maybe a Thursday slot if the volleyball club gives it up. Add each court in the hall as a named field on the venue, then generate the schedule from your start date, the weekdays you have the floor and the tip-off times. Two courts side by side come out as a running order, not a pile of undated games.
Formats that fit
- League, home and away. A double round-robin across the season.
- Pools into a knockout. Twelve teams in three pools of four, then a final four.
- One-day tournament. Short pools in the morning, finals in the afternoon. Works for 3x3 as well.
Youth categories run as separate competitions inside the same season, each with its own schedule and table. Teams register once.
Scores and who enters them
You decide who may submit a result and whose word is final. Let the team admins submit, and a score sits pending until an admin of the opposing team confirms it. Or assign an official to the game and make their word final. Per-player points are recorded as game events, so the scoring leaders come from the same data as the table.

What Tornia takes off your hands
Fixtures for your hall evenings
Tuesday 20:00 to 22:00, two courts. Generate the season on the slots you have, not on a calendar you don't.
Courts as named fields
Each court gets its share of games, so parallel courts come out as a running order.
Point difference, automatically
Enter the final score. The table sorts on points, then point difference, then points scored.
A referee on every game
Assign officials to a whole matchday in one action. A referee with an account can enter the score.
